Tig Notaro: Happy to Be Here (2018)

People seem to either really like Tig or they don't. This is Tig at her Tiggyest, so if you know who she is, you can probably guess from this sentence how much you'll enjoy it.

The Last Emperor (1987)

Bertolucci sexually abused an actress, so I no longer have to pretend to like his movies.

He took one of the greatest architectural masterpieces in the world and make it look pretty good. He took a unique and interesting life story and made it fairly watchable.

Steve Martin and Martin Short Netflix Special (2018)

When I was young, old guys like Bob Hope would do meandering specials like this. I'd watch them and find them fairly funny but think, "What am I missing?" I get it now.

Arrested Development Season 5, Part One

Eddie Murphy Delirious (1983)

The good parts are good but the bad parts are really bad. So bad that if Eddie Murphy was white, the Intellectual Dark Web would be writing think pieces about how society betrayed his dream of punching women.

Shawshank Redemption (1994)

It truly was a Shawshank Redemption.

Flight (2012)

One of the better Crime and Punishment reboots. I usually hate dramas because it's easy to give an attractive person AIDS or cancer or whatever and wait for your Oscar, but in this case the only person to have cancer is an nameless magical redneck.

1900 (Novecento) (1976)

It's good for a movie that is 5 hours and 17 minutes long, in the sense that I could force myself to watch it till the end.

It's a metaphorical representation of the class structure in Italy, starring an American, a French guy, and a Canadian, all poorly dubbed by Italian actors.

Inside Out (2015)
