Undone - Season One

I watch Amazon Prime a fair deal, but all they ever advertize me is the Jonas Brothers reunion. In the last year I have received publicity for pretty much nothing else. I have no idea why their algorithm thinks that's the only thing I would ever want to watch. Judging from the laborious animation technique and cast and hot show creator, Undone must have cost a fortune, but Prime decided that it just wasn't worth advertizing Undone or any other show when I could be watching this 00s boy band thing I've been trying to ignore for what seems like an eternity.

Anyway, this is very good with beautiful visuals, and well-written characters, and excellent performances from everyone. Also it's very sad so don't watch it unless you want to be bummed out.

Pulp Fiction (2014)

I've been slowly working my way down reviewing the IMDB top 250 movies. Most people have an opinion on this by now. It's still a fine movie but, after the Bruce Lee thing, Taratino has turned from young, cool Elvis to Fat Elvis. Since this movie is idiosyncratic and auteurish, part of its appeal has be lost by Tarantino becoming so lame.

Inception (2010)

The Prestige (2006)

Fun! In the fifteen years after The Matrix, The Sixth Sense, and Fight Club hit it big within a few months of each other, there were about 4382094832 "it reality real?" movies and most of them were pretty awful, but this is everything a plot-twist movie should be: character-driven and fun to watch a second time.

Crimson Tide (1995)

Some folks on a submarine decide to have a mutiny, but first they have to ask Aragorn's permission because he has the keys to submarine and a gun. Aragorn tragically contemplates whether or not to mutiny for a few seconds, then goes all in.

The captain and some of his friends decide to start a counter-mutiny, so they go to Aragorn, who bites his clenched fist while suffering under the weight of such a monumental decision, then joins up. Then there's a counter-counter mutiny which Aragon joins with great reluctance and so on and so on for about two hours. At the end of the movie, the mutiny leader and the captain shake hands and agree that the real treasure was friendship all along.

Patriot Games (1992)

The characters suspensefully twiddle their thumbs for about an hour and a half, then there's a nice action scene.

The Usual Suspects (1995)
